Dr. Anna Austin is a Research Scientist at the Injury Prevention Research Center and a graduate of the Department of Maternal and Child Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was previously a CDC/CSTE Applied Epidemiology Fellow in the Injury and Violence Prevention Branch at the North Carolina Division of Public Health. Her research focuses on the primary prevention of child maltreatment and other adverse childhood experiences, as well as parenting and child wellbeing in the context of parental substance use, specifically opioids.
